How to use this tool

01

Choose up to 20 JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Your selected files stay in this browser session.

02

Choose JPEG or WebP output, a target size in decimal KB, and the maximum quality. Enable dimension reduction for a better chance of meeting a small limit.

03

Process the images, check their final dimensions and file sizes, and download individual results or a ZIP.

What the result means

File size and dimensions are different. A photo can be 1600 x 1000 pixels yet occupy different amounts of storage at different quality settings. This tool first tries a lower encoding quality, then optionally reduces dimensions when the target cannot be reached at the original size. A 200 KB limit here means 200,000 bytes, which is also below a 200 KiB limit.

Questions about this tool

Does the tool change my original file?

No. It creates a separate downloadable result. The original file on your device is not overwritten.

Why is my compressed image larger?

Re-encoding an already optimized image can make it larger. The result shows the actual size and percentage difference rather than claiming savings that did not happen.

Which formats are supported?

Input: JPG, PNG, and WebP. Compression output: JPEG or WebP. HEIC, GIF, SVG, RAW, and animated images are outside this first release.
